Job Description

The Department of Philosophy at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position (open rank) in Philosophy of Science with a focus on AI and values, interpreted broadly. The annual teaching load for this position is 2/2. Salary range $90,000 - $200,000, commensurate with rank and experience. In addition to maintaining an active research program, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the University's major programs in Philosophy, History and Philosophy of Science, and Humanities and Technology. This will include offering both core and elective Philosophy courses.

The annual starting base salary range for this position is from $90,000 –$200,000. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Qualifications

PhD in Philosophy or a related discipline at the time of appointment.
