Position Summary
The Department
of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at University of New Mexico Health
Sciences is eager to put together the right package for individuals with a
passion for clinical psychology and academics, coupled with an interest in
joining a team of talented, caring and dedicated faculty members. Applications
are being accepted for an academic faculty clinical psychologist, suitable for an
appointment at the Open Rank. Positions are currently available in the
Community Behavioral Health Division Research involvement is required for
applicants. This position includes both clinical and academic opportunities.
As a member of
our supportive and collegial department, the person selected will have
opportunities for multi-cultural clinical care with an emphasis on the
treatment of Native American populations. Scholarly activities are available,
including collaboration with colleagues across the health sciences campus and
in rural communities across the state. There is potential for professional
development in leadership and administration within UNM Health Sciences.
Educational activities include teaching and administration of seminars,
mentoring and supervision of trainees in our APA Accredited Clinical Psychology
Pre-Doctoral Internship Program, as well as medical students, residents,
fellows, post docs, trainees in related disciplines, and participation in educational
committees. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and
academic background.

natural beauty and temperate climate, Albuquerque is New Mexico’s largest city
and sits at the base of the Sandia Mountains on the edge of the Rio Grande
Valley. With its rich multicultural history, active arts community, and
proximity to Santa Fe and Taos, Albuquerque is home to the University of New
Mexico, Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratories, Intel and the
Isotopes.
