Position Overview:
The School of Education and Social Policy at Merrimack College seeks a dynamic communication sciences and disorders professional who will work collaboratively with colleagues and serve in the Speech, Language & Learning Programs. This position is an OpenRank, Non-Tenure Track (NTT) full-time, 9-month contract for the 2027-2028 academic year.
The successful candidate will work with undergraduate and graduate students in the following Merrimack College Speech, Language & Learning Programs:
Speech, Language & Learning Graduate Program
Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (currently a CAA candidate for accreditation)
Speech, Language & Learning Undergraduate Minor
Undergraduate minor in the Department of Applied Human Development and Community Studies
Professional Studies Concentration in Speech, Language & Learning
Bachelor’s Degree Completion program
The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: neurology, dysphagia, AAC, audiology, aphasia, voice, speech and hearing science and/or velopharyngeal function. They will also have, or be eligible for, their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, as well as Massachusetts state licensure from the Board of Registration for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

The expected 9-month base salary range (paid over 12 months) for the Assistant Professor of Practice rank is $78,000-$90,000; for the Associate Professor of Practice is $90,000-$100,000. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience, scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market considerations.
Work Location
This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.
