The team has built an outstanding reputation for successful grant submissions and effective award management through a dedication to quality, collaboration, and attention to detail. In this role, you will partner with research faculty to support a broad range of pre-award and post-award grant activities. Key Responsibilities:Advise faculty on pre-award submission process, requirements, timeline and deadlines for grant submission.Create complex multi-year budgets for federal, state, foundation and industry sponsors, inclusive of international sponsors; draft budget justification templates and supporting documentation for grant applications; and route proposals and contract agreements through OGC.Review and interpret sponsor's submission requirements with faculty to ensure compliance with appropriate Federal, State, Board of Regents, OGC and university policies and regulations. Communicate with OGC regarding deadlines which impact submission of materials requested by sponsoring agency.Manage the full post-award lifecycle for sponsored projects, including review of award notices, account setup, award modifications, carryforwards, no-cost extensions, prior approvals, and ongoing award administration.Perform financial oversight and reconciliation of sponsored projects, ensuring expenditures, payroll distributions, subrecipient costs, and other expenses are accurate, allowable, and compliant with sponsor and institutional requirements.Monitor project budgets and financial performance, prepare forecasts and financial reports, identify and resolve discrepancies, and provide investigators and leadership with actionable financial information. Work Location:Hybrid* – This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. *Consideration will be made for a fully remote arrangement for well-qualified candidates who live more than 50 miles from campus. Any travel related to in-person presence is employee’s responsibility. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Entry Level:Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Intermediate Level:Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.One (1) year of professional grant management work. Senior Level:Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare administration, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.Two (2) years of professional grant management work. Principal Level:Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.Three (3) years of professional grant management work. A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis. An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Pre-Award and Post-Award grants and contracts administration in research or healthcare setting.Experience with NIH grant submissions.Experience managing grant budgets, invoicing, payment tracking, revenue reconciliation, and grant closeout.Experience with University software applications such as InfoEd, CU MarketPlace, Concur Travel & Expense, CU Data/mFIN, A2E, Peoplesoft HCM, Peoplesoft Finance, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other analytic software.
