
The Department of Neuroscience at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for an open rank tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, who is motivated to become an impactful researcher, educator, and contributor to the scholarly community.
The Department is seeking innovative candidates with outstanding research potential. Applicants across a broad range of subdisciplines of neuroscience will be considered. Particular areas of interest include the fields of aging and neurodegenerative disease and/or other disorders of the nervous system. We are also particularly interested in candidates whose research utilizes cutting edge techniques applied to the study of synapses, circuits, and systems neuroscience. Candidates may be evaluated on their potential to help develop new areas of strength or build on existing strengths in the fields of learning and memory, sensory neuroscience, and computational and theoretical neuroscience.
These positions entail highly competitive salary and start-up funds commensurate with level of appointment. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an active research program within a collegial, collaborative, and vibrant academic environment.

All tenure-track positions require a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree with training in neuroscience or a related field.
