The University is undergoing rapid growth toward its strategic goal of becoming a comprehensive, midsize, residential, undergraduate-graduate, research-intensive, health professions and science University of excellence. Essential Duties

  • Responsible for creating a dynamic, learner-centered environment that supports the diverse learning needs of the student population based on educational theory and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Assume other duties that contribute to the program’s overall success.
  • Maintain teaching load as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Regionally accredited master’s degree in nursing required. Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold National certification as a nurse practitioner.
  • PMHNPmust provide a copy of ANAANCCVerification of Certification Letter for PMHNPBoard Certified


Minimum Requirements
Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience required, and/or one (1) to three (3) years of clinical experience in one of the clinical specialty areas within the past five (5) years.
PC literate with the ability to utilize the MS Office platform, including Office 365, Word, and Excel.
Good organizational skills
Good Grammatical skills.
Good customer service skills
Good time management skills.
Must be available to teach workload as assigned.

BSN Clinical Assistant Adjuncts Minimum Requirements::

    • BSN from a regionally accredited college/university (required).
    • Current, clear, active California RN license (required).
    • Meets BRN qualifications as Assistant Instructor (BSN + recent practice) or Clinical Teaching Assistant (recent practice) under Title 16 CCR §1425. (If assigned any didactic teaching, an MSN is required by BRN.)
    • For Public Health rotations: California PHN certificate (required for PHN‑designated assignments).
    • 3 years RN experience within the last 5 years and currently practicing in one or more of: Med‑Surg, Geriatric Unit, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Telemetry, ED, ICU, Stepdown, Pediatrics, OB, Psychiatric/Mental Health, or Public Health.
