The Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate at the University of Notre Dame seeks applicants for one or more adjunct faculty (non-tenure-track) positions in real estate and related fields. We encourage applications from candidates whose teaching and professional interests would support the work of the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate, a University center focused on the study of real estate and real estate markets. Building upon Notre Dame’s world-class faculty, global alumni network, and distinctive Catholic mission, the Fitzgerald Institute is an ambitious interdisciplinary initiative that brings together faculty, students, and alumni from a number of colleges and schools, including the Mendoza College of Business, College of Arts & Letters, School of Architecture, College of Engineering, and Law School. The Institute supports real estate education by, among other things, offering an undergraduate Minor in Real Estate (in partnership with the Department of Finance), offering graduate-level courses for MBA and Law students, and hosting academic conferences and industry events.
Candidates should have substantial academic and/or practice experience and expertise in real estate, and should demonstrate excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching a real estate course or courses (e.g., courses in real estate finance, real estate development, and related areas).
Candidates should submit a cover letter, resume/cv, and any supporting materials to __. The cover letter should include a brief statement about a candidate’s particular interest in real estate (including a list of any real estate courses he or she would be able to teach) and particular interest in teaching at Notre Dame. To request further information, please contact Mr. Geno Acosta (574-631-6242; EAcosta2@nd.edu), Senior Associate Director of the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate. Review of applications will commence immediately, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Background Check
This appointment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. Applicants will be asked to identify all felony convictions and/or pending felony charges. Felony convictions do not automatically bar an individual from employment. Each case will be examined separately to determine the appropriateness of employment in the particular position. Failure to be forthcoming or dishonesty with respect to felony disclosures can result in the disqualification of a candidate.
