1. Review the engineering plan and program and translate them into rig work instructions.
2. Lead OHGP equipment QA/QC, including screen inspection, gravel specification
compliance, tool redress verification, and job readiness checks.
3. Develop detailed OHGP operational plans: pump schedules, mechanical setting
sequences, contingency procedures for bridging/losses, and pack-quality verification methodology.
4. Participate in and close out HAZOP/HAZID actions relevant to OHGP scope.
5. Conduct pre-mobilization equipment inspection and function testing.
6. Provide on-site OHGP execution support: troubleshoot pack efficiency issues, manage premature screen-outs, and monitor critical parameters in real time.
7. Perform post-job evaluation covering gravel pack quality, pack efficiency, carrier fluid
performance, quality of returns, and confirmation of annular fill.
8. Capture lessons learned and recommend continuous improvement; update Wells Basis of Design (BoD) where applicable.
1. Minimum experience ten (10) years in offshore drilling rig operations.
2. At least the most recent five (5) years in supervisory roles.
3. Having valid certifications of :
- IWCF/IADC Well Control (surface, appropriate level)
- OPITO BOSIET with HUET & EBS
- H2S/BA training
4. Familiar with Permit‑to‑Work (PTW), SIMOPS, and emergency response
processes.
5. Having proficiency with software and templates (e.g., gravel‑pack design and modeling tools; well testing analysis suites; MS 365/SharePoint).
