Job Description

If you’re after impact, there’s no other organisation in Australia that delivers work on this scale.

If finding complex technological solutions is your game, we've got the team for you. You're going to help us create seamless operations that result in efficiency for millions of customers.

In this role, you'll:

Working as part of a team delivering the preparation, publication and continuous improvement of Transport for NSW’s open data assets, ensuring datasets are accurate, discoverable, compliant with standards, and optimised for usability across open data portals and self‑service platforms.

This role will see you manage end‑to‑end dataset publication; optimise the usability and accessibility of open data portals; apply user‑centred design to improve navigation, discoverability and visualisation; develop high‑quality metadata and documentation; collaborate with data owners to prepare datasets for release; support external data users; monitor portal performance and user engagement; and contribute to implementing open data policies and frameworks, with development opportunities across UX for data platforms, metadata management, ethical data publication, cross‑agency collaboration and open‑data strategy.

You will build new ways of enhancing open data usability, consistency and user experience in a rapidly evolving environment shaped by emerging data‑sharing technologies, privacy requirements, diverse data sources, and complex stakeholder priorities that demand strong alignment and customer‑centred outcomes.
