We are seeking a full-time Production Associate for our Arc Welding Department on the second shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Associates in these positions perform precision welding on a variety of wire and/or sheet metal products, including component parts. Associates support the manufacture of shelving, cabinets, or other products. The primary function is the performance of MIG and TIG welding. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.
Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Must demonstrate proficiency on MIG welding for cold rolled steel, as well as a variety of stainless-steel finishes
- Must demonstrate proficiency (structural and aesthetics) on TIG welding for cold rolled steel, aluminum, as well as a variety of stainless-steel finishes.
- Must demonstrate ability to perform assembly operations that combine welding disciplines with assembly, and spot-welding disciplines for make- to- order product business such as Mobile Banquet Carts (MBQ), and new cabinet opportunities.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Finishing (buffing and grinding) all weld finishes to support high aesthetic requirements of the healthcare industry.
- Must demonstrate ability to meet and exceed production standards on a regular basis.
- Cleans and maintains work area.
- Performs other duties, as required.
