The Pharmacy Supervisor – Meds to Beds provides operational and clinical leadership for the hospital’s Meds to Bed and discharge medication program, with responsibility for coordinating pharmacist and technician workflows that ensure timely, accurate delivery of discharge medications to patients. This role will lead daily operations, staff development, workflow optimization and collaboration with nursing, providers and care teams to increase discharge prescription capture, improve medication access and support transitions of care. The supervisor will monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience, and lead the continued expansion of Meds to Beds across the hospital.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Graduation from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with previous supervisory experience preferred. Pharm.D and/or residency preferred; previous experience in ambulatory practice and knowledge of payer sources a must. Strong written and communication skills.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeNOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
