About RSPCA Queensland

For more than 140 years, RSPCA Queensland has been a leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of animals - whether domestic, farmed, or native. We care for over 42,000 animals annually, relying on the generosity of animal lovers like you to fund 91% of our life-changing services.

Our Purpose: We exist for animals to live better lives.

About the Role

Be part of something new from day one - we're looking for an experienced retail supervisor to support the launch of our brand-new Noosaville Op Shop!

As Op Shop Store Supervisor, you'll be the Store Managers trusted right-hand, playing a key role in creating an exceptional shopping experience while helping generate vital funds for animals in need. From supporting day-to-day store operations, leading volunteers to maintaining high merchandising standards and driving sales, you'll help ensure the store runs smoothly every day.

This is a part-time, hands-on role where you'll help lead from the shop floor, support a passionate team and step into the Store Manager role when required.

If you love retail (especially the thrill of second-hand treasures & Op Shops) and want to be part of something new, fun and community-focused, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.

Other Casual Opportunities

If the Supervisor role isn't the right fit, we'd still love to hear from you! We have casual opportunities available to support during busy periods and while team members are on leave.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a confident and customer-focused retail professional who enjoys leading by example and bringing out the best in others. You'll be someone who naturally builds positive relationships, creates welcoming customer experiences and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to help wherever needed.

You'll bring previous retail or supervisory experience, a strong eye for merchandising and presentation and the ability to balance customer service with commercial outcomes. Organised, adaptable and experience-focused, you'll thrive in a busy retail environment and enjoy supporting both paid employees and volunteers to achieve shared goals.

Most importantly, you'll be passionate about making a difference and excited to be part of a team where every donation, every sale and every interaction helps improve the lives of animals across Queensland.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day operation and performance of the Op Shop.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example on the shop floor.

  • Assist with rostering, store administration and daily operations.
  • Perform POS transactions, cash handling and daily reconciliations.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, donors and the local community.
  • Promote RSPCA Queensland's mission and values through every customer interaction.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Previous experience in a retail supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong customer service and people skills.
  • Experience in merchandising, stock management and store presentation.
  • Confidence supporting and motivating volunteers and team members.
  • Knowledge of fashion brands and higher-value retail items.
  • Experience using POS systems and handling cash accurately.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for customer service, community and animal welfare.

Why Join Us?

  • Comprehensive Support: Enjoy 8 weeks of paid parental leave, flexible working arrangements, study leave, and even leave for your furry companions. We also provide access to counselling and mental health services.
