Our Purpose: We exist for animals to live better lives.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and adaptable retail leader to join RSPCA Queensland as an Op Shop Floating Manager.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role providing leadership and operational support across multiple Op Shop locations. You’ll step into stores during vacancies, leave coverage or periods of increased operational need, ensuring each location continues to operate smoothly, commercially and in line with RSPCA Queensland’s values and standards.
No two days will look the same. One week you may be stabilising a store during a leadership transition, the next you could be coaching volunteers, driving sales performance or supporting a team through a busy trading period. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments, enjoys variety and can confidently walk into different stores and quickly build strong relationships with teams and volunteers.
Please note, travel is a core part of this role so flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to work across locations is essential.
What We’re Looking For
You’re an experienced retail leader who can confidently step into different environments and make an immediate positive impact. You know how to lead teams, drive performance and maintain strong operational standards while creating a welcoming and supportive store culture.
You’re proactive, solutions-focused and highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing operational needs. You’re equally comfortable supporting day-to-day store operations, coaching team members or jumping onto the shop floor during busy periods.
Most importantly, you bring a collaborative and people-focused approach and are passionate about supporting a purpose-driven organisation that makes a real difference.
