Job Description

The Onsite Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with a project, from receipt of a customer order via the sales team to the completion and hand-over of the project to the client and the service group.

Success is measured in terms of economic results and overall customer satisfaction, as well as in ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within the agreed budget and to the agreed functionality.

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the project is carried out in line with Dematic’s standard practices and procedures.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure all aspects of Safety, Scope, Time, Budget, Quality, Risk/Opportunities, Communications, Resources,3rd Parties, Integrations are managed well to meet overall project objectives for all stakeholders.
  • Take Profit and loss responsibility for the project upon agreed budgets. Knows financial indicators and pro-actively manages them.
  • Timely and accurate project reporting, timely revenue collection and cash flow planning.
  • Manage project expansion and extension to the mutual benefit of the customer and Dematic.
  • Reflect actions, opinions and feedback of customers actively and develop a strong customer relationship.
  • Provide recommendations and decisions to customers based on thorough understanding of customers business and operational environment.
  • Facilitate and monitor the use of appropriate subcontractors. Ensure clearly defined performance requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate staff planning and resource requirements are met with clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure open, regular and effective communication with all project team members.
  • Estimate the project influences and risks and evaluate them financially. (E.g. economic, organizational, employee competencies, contract, acceptance criteria and change request criteria.)
  • Define and communicate project targets to the appropriate cost account managers.
  • Ensure that regular status updates are reported from cost account managers.
  • Provide accurate and concise feedback on all aspects of completed project execution.
  • Proactively promote innovation, improvements, risk identification and OH&S management

Work, Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E) Responsibilities

  • Ensure that work areas and equipment, under your control, are safe and without risk to health and safety. Minimize environmental impacts & prevent pollution.
  • Ensure all hazards and incidents are identified, assessed, controlled and reported via Dematic’s reporting process.
  • Provide appropriate instruction, information, training and supervision to workers, contractors, business partners, students and others to enable work to be carried out safely.
