The Onshore OCTG Sales Manager leads commercial efforts for key end users and distribution partners, driving sales growth, profitability, and strategic customer relationships across OCTG and premium connection product lines while supporting long-term business objectives. This position will be expected to manage, develop & grow with assigned customer responsibilities while generating new customers that are strategic to the company’s long-term performance.

Your Role at a Glance

  • This position must be capable of working effectively within the supply chain dynamics associated with the Tubular markets today
  • You will work closely to coordinate with all technical, operational, QHSE & Legal department teams in support of Vallourec and VAM USA product responsibilities including all required actions for your assigned customer base
  • Develop, grow & manage key customer relationships with assigned distributors and end users
  • Develop sales in the targeted customer base and identify, prospect, and develop new opportunities for our core products
  • Communicate and manage the Vallourec STAR cycle buys including mix and price discussions with assigned distributors
  • Accountable for forecasting key account activities and working with OCTG Director to optimize company goals and meet customer needs
  • Attend and contribute information for monthly SOP planning & forecasting meetings
  • Accountable for competitive market intelligence of assigned key accounts
  • Generate reports on market information, distributors, and end users as requested
  • Lead the regularly scheduled key account business process reviews & coordinate with M&D all required presentation and sales support
  • You will work closely with OCTG & premium connection sales support teams & technical sales teams.
  • Communicate and manage the OCTG product cycle buy process & pricing discussions with assigned distribution and end users as required. Coordination with VALLOUREC sales support teams is expected as well in this endeavor
  • Manage, develop & grow our customer relationships, focus on OCTG programs/product mix with assigned distributors and end users
  • Develop & participate in key account plans, and required business reviews and take full ownership of all requirements within your assigned key accounts
  • Up to 25% regional travel

What Sets You Apart

We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:

  • 5+ years of OCTG, premium connection, industrial, or oil and gas sales experience
  • Experience in outside sales, technical sales, customer service, and commercial negotiations
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and develop practical solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of OCTG supply chain dynamics preferred
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver professional presentations
