Highland Homes is currently accepting resumes for an Online Sales Manager. The Online Sales Manager will lead and develop online sales team by managing and tracking overall communication, follow up, and response time with leads and connections while holding the team accountable to schedule qualified appointments that convert into sales.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership and Development:

  • Inspires and motivates Online Sales to perform at their highest potential to deliver exceptional results.
  • Build, develop and lead the online sales team to carry out established sales initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and management to implement and maintain the Mission and Core Values of the Company.
  • Make decisions that result in the greatest benefit to the Company and teach others how to make good decisions.
  • Instill a sense of self-confidence and pride among the team for the Company and the work we do; develop ways to bring fun and excitement to the workplace while stimulating excellent performance.

Recruiting/Staffing/Training:

  • Oversee recruiting and hiring for the state for Online Sales.
  • Collaborate with Senior Vice President of Sales, Sales VP’s and Sales Training and Development Manager to help provide support for training initiatives.
  • Embrace innovation and technology to develop a world class, competitive Online Sales team.
  • Adequately train and develop Online Sales team to stay technically proficient and meet company objectives and goals.
  • Verify the Online Sales team is utilizing the internal computer systems to follow up, track, and qualify leads.

Sales Operations:

  • Helps to cultivate a positive working relationship between Online Sales and the Sales Team.
  • Support Online Sales in daily operations.
  • Coach each online sales associate to optimize overall curiosity with each lead to better convert them to a qualified appointment leading to a sale.
  • Strategize with online sales associate with performance improvement through coaching, training, and moral support etc.
  • Share overall metrics and performance on online assistance with sales and appointments set and kept weekly with the Sales Leadership team.
  • Works with the team to increase overall performance with appointments kept and conversion to sales.
  • Participate and give updates about Online sales performance and latest initiatives in Sales Leadership Meetings and Division meetings.
  • Work with sales leadership across the state to partner online sales and onsite sales to maximize efficiency and sales.
  • Analyze existing follow-up strategy and profiles to make recommendations for enhancements and improvements.
  • Provide training for Sales Counselors and Associates in basic use of Salesforce, as well as consulting on ‘best practices’ and new strategies to improve communication and increase sales.
  • Proactively partner with IT and our Salesforce Architect to find ways to maximize overall efficiency of the team and utilize the latest technology.
  • Travel to all markets and visit communities to become better educated about what each community has to offer to buyers (location and features).
  • Review collateral document content for relevance to current market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all Sales Counselors (all markets).
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all Sales Managers (all markets).


Perform a variety of other duties and services as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with concentration in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Communications or other related field.
  • Five years of Online Sales Experience.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to analyze reports and data and effectively communicate online metrics.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong internet skills required.
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance online sales team; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to leadership development.
  • Takes personal responsibility to stay abreast of Online Benchmarks and current Sales lead generation trends.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
