Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are currently looking for Kurdish language Teacher to provide online customized lessons to one of our clients.

Job Information: Individual class for an adult

• Class: 201062
• Sorani Kurdish (Kirkuk, Northern Iraq)
• Availability: Friday and Saturday 6pm (when in Iraq) - exact schedule when off rotation (in Texas) can be discussed directly with the teacher.
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Lesson Frequency: 1 -2 / week
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour
• Student’s location: Kirkuk, Iraq & Texas, USA / The student works on a 4-week rotation and travels between the two locations
• Current target language level: Complete beginner
• Native and other spoken languages: Arabic and English
• Student’s language needs and goals: He would like to learn some basic and useful everyday Kurdish (Sorani dialect) words and phrases for day-to-day conversations with his colleagues and locals. He is not looking for traditional style learning, the focus should be on simple conversations, useful expressions and sharing cultural knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching Kurdish
