Whatfield Primary School are seeking a One to one Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in our key stage 2 class. Experience with special needs will be an advantage.

The work will involve supporting a class as well as helping an individual child during unstructured times at lunch and playtimes. You must be patient and highly organised, working under the supervision of the class teacher, assisting with creating a positive learning environment.

Working within a team, you should be a good communicator, able to be flexible to work across the school at times and be sensitive in responding to the needs of the children. An interest in professional development is important. Experience in this kind of work would be an advantage.

We are a nurturing school and use Zones of Regulation. We are keen to make all school experiences fun and rewarding for children whose anxieties can make the environment more challenging.
