Job Description

POSITION:

• One-on-One Aides

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Educational Aide permit with ESEA Endorsement.
• Experience working with Special Needs children preferred.
• Must have or be willing to complete appropriate training including Crisis Prevention Training.
• Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of classroom instructional strategies, child development, and learning styles.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students.
• Patience, flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward student learning and development.
• Work directly with a designated student to provide academic, behavioral, and social support.
• Willingness to assist with special circumstances for students with medical needs
• Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.
• Adhere to Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
• Must have a successful drug test
• Must have successful BCI and FBI background checks
• Must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the job description

SALARY:

• Per the Negotiated Agreement
