About the Role:

The primary role of theExecutiveOncologyTraining Manager(OTM)is to work closely with theHeadofOncologyTraining and Developmentand the Training Team toidentify key initiatives via needs assessment and other means that will drive measurable impact on Commercial goals for the field role they oversee as well as any additional Training lead roles they are assigned.

This role willbe responsible forthe development, guidance, and/or execution ofsustainment and new hire training on multiple topics including, but not limited toproduct, patient journey, disease state, sales skills.Collaborate with multiple cross-functionalteams tosuccessfullybuild andimplement curriculaUtilizationof various training channels and modalities is expected (pod casts, workshops, slide decks, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the vision and execution of assigned core departmental duties

  • Leadand supporttraining projects that have a national impact and involve multiple cross-functional partners. 

  • Proactivelyidentifyprojects needed to support the goals of the Training department and Commercial team. 

  • Develop and implement training plans for the US Sales teamrole that they lead

  • Participate in all Trainingteam SOPs

  • Collaborate with relevant internal teams to address training needs in alignment with department and company goals.

  • Lead and develop assigned Regional Trainers.  This includes but is not limited to leading ongoing calls to gather feedback on needs, help them develop their Regions message training plans, train them to execute pull through trainings, evaluate theireffectivenessandultimately coachthem up to their fullest potential.

  • Work with identified sales reps in the field.Minimum of 1x per quarter.Provide high quality, thoughtfulfeedback to therep and manager with recommendations for any ongoing coaching planthat influences behavior change. 

  • Deliver feedbacktosales leadership and assessment scores for new hires in coordination with the Head of Training.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the US Oncology Training Team.  Communicate clearly, honestly, and with kindness.  Show up to learn and share not to be right.  Ask for help when you need it and be the first to volunteer tohelp outothers on the Team.  Do what you say you will do.

Experience:

  • 4-6+ years of experience in oncology/oncology diagnostics, pharmaceutical, hospital-surgical sales, or key account management, including 2+ years of oncology training experience; candidates with at least 4 years of oncology experience and a minimum of 1 year of successful tenure at Guardant Health may be considered in lieu of the training experience requirement

  • Minimumrequirementofa bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated experience in creating training plans and contentutilizingvarious modalitiestailored toaudience

  • Experience intracking training effectiveness.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous and often complex projects with resources needed from across various cross-functional teams and vendors.  

  • Training content development and delivery experience within theoncologybiotechnology,diagnosticsor pharmaceutical industry.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following computer software programs: PowerPoint, Excel,Teams, and Word

  • Ability to learn and implement AI

  • Outstanding ability to coach, inspire, and give clear feedback.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely whilemaintaininga strong teamwork ethic and with a sense of urgency to meet timelines.

  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, flexible to changes in an ever-changing dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills, anda quick learner

  • Exceptional human relations skills to coordinate the accomplishment of tasks through other people

  • Solidpresentation skills.

  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.

  • Must be an exemplary team player that can work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of work.


Hybrid Work Model:This section is applicable to onsite employees who are eligible for hybrid work location as specified by management and related policies. Guardant has defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. This range does not include benefits or, if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, education, job-related skills, job duties, and business need.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
