Tulane University School of Medicine’s John W. Deming Department of Medicine is seeking a Lab-Based Researcher in Cancer Biology to join the faculty. This full-time position within the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will contribute to our efforts to expand the oncology research program, ensuring excellence in research, translation and education.
This position is ideal for a PhD-trained cancer researcher with a track record of peer-reviewed publications, extramural funding, and independent research experience in cancer etiology, development, and/or prevention. The candidate should have a demonstrated interest in translational research and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Institutional Collaboration Engage with Tulane Cancer Center leadership and the broader university community. Participate in the missions of the Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology, primarily research, teaching, and service. Engage in service responsibilities, including monthly attendance at faculty meetings and participation in University, School of Medicine, Departmental, or Section committee work.
