300 - 846600 PPP - Clinic - Cancer Center ProvidersThe Oncology Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with cancer and hematologic conditions across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams
• Diagnose and manage oncology and hematology conditions, including treatment-related side effects and complications
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and survivorship plans in collaboration with physicians
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging related to cancer care
• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, symptom management, and supportive care
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including infusion services, radiation oncology, and support services
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
Qualifications
1. Current Louisiana RN and APRN licensure required
2. BLS and ACLS certification required
3. Oncology, hematology, or internal medicine experience preferred
