Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, skilled part-time Social Worker to join our Oncology department. As a vital member of our team, you'll support patients and families navigating the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges of cancer and life-threatening illness. Working in close partnership with primary care and oncology providers, you'll deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions and help create thoughtful, individualized plans of care.
This role is ideal for a social worker who brings experience from healthcare, hospice, or mental health settings and who is deeply attuned to the medical and psychosocial realities of cancer, grief, loss, and bereavement. You'll walk alongside patients as they adjust to diagnosis and treatment, helping them access resources, coordinate care, navigate complex systems, and find stability during an incredibly vulnerable time. From connecting patients with transportation, lodging, and support groups to assisting with Medicaid, Social Security, and financial aid programs, your work will directly ease burdens and improve quality of life for individuals facing challenges.
