Oncology Coordinator

Schedule: this is a full-time position that will work in our outpatient cancer center.

How you’ll contribute

An Oncology Coordinator who excels in this role is responsible for the implementation of a wide variety of cancer center activities and projects. Additional responsibilities include:

• Provides effective leadership, organization and oversight for assigned cancer center programs, including support groups and lecture series.

• Prepares outlines, handouts, etc. appropriate to the needs of the population. Provides professional, timely products as directed.

• Routinely seeks feedback from customers and documents process improvement efforts.

• Maintains appropriate documentation and statistics and reports as requested.

• Maintains technical expertise by actively participating in a variety of cancer related continuing education opportunities, utilizing professional resources (journals, etc).

• Shares technical expertise with colleagues and community through active participation in educational presentations (patients, family members, public forums, professional in services).

• Coordinates programs with other community agencies to increase access to patient and family support resources.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in social work or a master’s degree in counseling, education or psychology. Additional requirements include:

• Experience: two years of experience in case management, social work or counseling preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • LBSW or higher or LPCC license required
