Schedule:

• Four 9-hour shifts OR Three 12-hour shifts

Compensation:

• $26 - $31/hour, start can increase with advanced knowledge and experience!

About the Role:
You will play a key role in providing excellent care to our patients, including those undergoing oncology treatments. This position includes exposure to chemotherapy agents, with comprehensive training and safety protocols in place to support you.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Client Interaction: Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, gather detailed medical histories, review treatment plans, cost estimates, discharge instructions, and medication details.
• Support for Medical Teams: Assist with a variety of medical procedures, including patient exams, chemotherapy administration, and diagnostic processes.
• Collection, Preparation, Administration: Obtain and prepare diagnostic samples, such as blood, urine, and fine needle aspirates. Perform medical calculations and administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarians, including the safe handling and administration of chemotherapy agents in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Diagnostic Imaging Assistance: Support radiographic procedures, including positioning for X-rays and assisting with CT scans and ultrasounds.
• Monitoring and Recovery: Monitor patients undergoing sedation and ensure their safe recovery post-procedure.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous oncology experience preferred
• This position requires active certification as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Massachusetts (CVT, LVT, or RVT).
• You are a confident, skilled, and experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care
