Job Description

Make your mark improving client onboarding by ensuring every document is validated, indexed, and audit-ready, while growing your operations career.

As an Associate in Payments Client Onboarding, you will manage end-to-end document validation, indexing, and authentication to support client account openings and product set-ups. You will partner with implementation and service teams, internal stakeholders, and clients (as applicable) to resolve document gaps quickly and accurately. You will help maintain strong risk controls and service delivery through disciplined workflow management, clear communication, and audit-ready recordkeeping.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess client information and compile complete, compliant documentation packages for downstream processing
  • Validate documentation against applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform primary and secondary authentication activities, including signature validation and call-back verification when required
  • Review existing internal documentation repositories to leverage previously collected documentation where appropriate
  • Index, store, retrieve, and maintain documents in approved repositories with accurate metadata and version control
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and workflow queues, prioritizing requests to meet service expectations
  • Track approvals, exceptions, and deferred items; escalate risks, delays, and blockers in a timely manner
  • Respond to documentation inquiries via email and phone, coordinating across implementation, operations, legal, and business partners
  • Maintain complete documentation trails to support audit, monitoring, and compliance reviews
  • Produce operational reporting on volumes, turnaround times, and service delivery performance indicators
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement to strengthen controls, efficiency, and client experience

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, documentation processing, or client onboarding within financial services
  • Working knowledge of client onboarding documentation requirements and common financial crime controls, including know your customer and anti-money laundering standards
  • Experience supporting payment products, legal agreements, and account opening documentation workflows
  • Proficiency with common office productivity tools for email, spreadsheets, documents, and presentations
  • Experience using document management and workflow queue tools to track, prioritize, and complete requests
  • Knowledge of documentation authentication practices, including signature validation and verification controls
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies, omissions, and documentation gaps
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with consistent follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage internal partners and clients (as applicable)
  • Understanding of audit and regulatory expectations related to documentation retention, traceability, and controls

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Master of business administration degree
  • Experience supporting treasury and cash management documentation or institutional payments documentation
  • Experience managing legal document templates, updates, and version control processes
  • Demonstrated experience delivering continuous improvement and process optimization in an operations environment
