TransPerfect Games is a leading provider of bespoke and flexible videogame services, offering a wide range of solutions including translation, functional and localization game testing, certification testing, focus group and playtesting, player support and community management, cybersecurity and penetration testing, tool development, art design, game writing, GDPR consultancy, and voice-over recording.

Position responsibilities

We are looking for Game Localization QA Testers with near-native/professional language skills in Simplified Chinese and Russian to join us and provide client support on game localization testing in a dynamic and exciting environment.

The Game Localization QA Tester will work as part of a game testing team to identify and fix issues affecting the localization of the game by making text changes, writing detailed bug reports, performing regression testing, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing LQA capacity to avoid issues such as game stability and project delays, reducing risks related to LQA completion rates, providing agile verification for issues discovered before launch and urgent fixes, and assisting with the translation of urgent announcement emails when required.

• This position is on a freelance contract.
• This is an onsite position. You will be required to work from either of the following office locations:
• Tianlin Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China
• Binjiang District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

Requirements

Position requirements

• Are someone who is passionate about games.
• Are detail-oriented.
• Have experience in Gaming LQA testing for ZHCN > RU.
• Native-level Simplified Chinese, including excellent spelling and grammar.
• Professional or near-native Russian language skills.
• For non-native Chinese candidates, have the Right to Work (RTW) in China and be able to work onsite in Shanghai or Hangzhou, including a valid work permit and other supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with open-world, RPG, Japanese anime-style, or Palworld-like games is a plus.
• Are highly proficient and can spot errors in terminology, grammar, punctuation, and linguistic style in Russian.
• Are willing to learn and take constructive feedback.
• Can deliver high-quality and timely testing to help make games great.
• Have a passion for excellence, are an experienced gamer, and want to contribute to making better games.
