With over 1,000 leading game developers and publishers as our clients, we are looking for an experienced English to French Game Localization QA (LQA) Tester to join our team for an exciting on-site project in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China You will help ensure the linguistic quality of upcoming game titles, ranging from independent projects to AAA releases.

If you...

  • Are passionate about video games and game localization.

  • Are a native French speaker with excellent English proficiency.

  • Have solid experience in Game Localization QA (LQA)

  • Have experience testing games on mobile devices

  • Are detail-oriented and able to identify linguistic, terminology, grammar, punctuation, and style issues.

  • Have a good understanding of urban open-world games and modern/trendy culture (preferred).

  • Communicate effectively, work well within a team, and respond positively to feedback.

  • Can consistently deliver high-quality work while meeting deadlines.

  • Hold valid Right to Work (RTW) documentation to work on-site in China (including a valid work permit or other required authorization).

Important Information

  • Contract Type: Freelance

  • Work Setup: On-site

  • Location: Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

  • Project Duration: Mid-August to late December 2026

  • Working Hours: To be confirmed

  • Immediate availability is preferred.

As a Game Localization QA Tester, you will work closely with the game testing team to identify, document, and verify localization and linguistic issues across various gaming platforms, with a focus on mobile game testing. You will help ensure localized content meets the highest quality standards while providing valuable feedback throughout the testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, isolate, document, and verify localization and linguistic issues.

  • Perform manual localization testing by following test cases, checklists, and testing procedures.

  • Write clear and detailed bug reports according to client and company standards.

  • Perform regression testing to verify implemented fixes.

  • Apply cultural and linguistic knowledge of the target market to improve localization quality.

  • Proactively identify gaps in test coverage.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional testing teams.

  • Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.

  • Complete additional tasks related to game localization testing as required.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Native French speaker with strong English proficiency.

  • Proven experience in Game Localization QA

  • Experience testing games on mobile devices

  • Familiarity with urban open-world games and modern gaming culture.

  • Experience using bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Mantis, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla

  • Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ is an advantage.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Available to start in mid-August and commit through the end of the project.
