🕹️ The Role
As an English-to-Brazilian Portuguese Game Linguist, you’ll be a key part of our localization team—helping games truly feel right for Brazilian Portuguese-speaking players. You’ll translate, revise, and perform LQA while collaborating closely with developers and localization project managers to ensure linguistic quality, consistency, and cultural relevance. Your work will help bring unforgettable gaming experiences to millions of players worldwide. 🌍✨
✅ Key Responsibilities
Translate in-game text, UI, and marketing materials from English to Brazilian Portuguese with accuracy and cultural nuance.
Revise localized content to ensure top-tier quality, style, and consistency.
Perform LQA (Language Quality Assurance) to spot and fix grammar, spelling, terminology, and style issues.
Preserve the tone and voice of the original content, adapting where needed for cultural expectations.
Join creative discussions and offer linguistic input to support narrative development and avoid cultural pitfalls.
Partner with the LPM team to support timelines, deliverables, and linguistic resources.

🎯 Qualifications
Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and fluent English
2+ years of experience in game localization (English ↔ Brazilian Portuguese).
Strong cultural understanding of both English- and Brazilian Portuguese-speaking markets
Comfortable with localization tools and content management systems
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach in cross-functional teams.
Passion for gaming and awareness of mobile gaming trends 📱🎮
Background in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is a plus.
