Mendocino Community Health Centers (MCHC) is seeking a Clinical Applications Supervisor to oversee and optimize our clinical systems, support organizational initiatives, and lead a talented Clinical Applications team. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader with strong Epic experience who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to improve both the patient and staff experience.

What You'll Do

As the Clinical Applications Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Applications Department and serve as a key liaison between MCHC, OCHIN, and third-party application vendors. You will lead system optimization efforts, support organizational projects, manage staff, and ensure MCHC teams have the training and tools they need to successfully utilize OCHIN Epic and related applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the Clinical Applications team, including workflow management, training, documentation, testing, and user support.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Population Health and department leaders to define project goals, priorities, and system workflows.
  • Lead analysis and optimization of clinical and patient workflows within OCHIN Epic.
  • Manage and prioritize OCHIN JIRA tickets and departmental work assignments.
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate project status, updates, and next steps to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OCHIN and third-party application vendors.
  • Oversee implementation and integration of new applications and system enhancements.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing Epic and Clinical Applications training across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and promote operational efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and timely issue resolution for internal users.

Requirements

  • Experience working with EPIC or equivalent Electronic Health Record Systems.
  • Experience with the design, build, testing, implementation, and optimization of EHR applications while ensuring user needs, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards are met.
  • Experience collaborating with clinical departments, operational teams, and Information Technology (IT) departments to support workflow improvements and system enhancements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, facilitate discussions, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills with the ability to translate operational needs into effective EHR solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and adapt to changing organizational needs.
  • Ability to lead end-user training sessions and provide ongoing education to improve adoption of clinical and operational workflows, enhance documentation quality, and support efficient, high-quality patient care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Experience developing and delivering training on clinical and operational workflows, including EHR functionality, best practices, and workflow optimization.
  • Undergraduate degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. (STEM).
