TheOn-CallClinical Supervisoris responsible forproviding both individual and group clinical supervision toMaster’slevelcounseling student internson a as neededbasis; hours not guaranteed.Incollaboration with the Chief ProgramOfficer,Deputy Chief ProgramOfficer,and Clinical Supervisor,the On-Call Clinical Supervisorparticipatesin the Center’s clinical training programsupportingMaster'slevel counseling and social work students.This program will trainstudentclinicians to become affirming, inclusive providers for the LGBTQ+ community.Thisprogram will provide free therapeutic counseling forLGBTQ+youth 13-24 and adults, with theexpressedgoalsof suicide prevention, increased sense of belonging,and positive mental health outcomes.
TheOn-CallClinical Supervisor willsupporttheclinical supervision of interns/traineeson an as-needed basis,documentation review,regularly communicate withuniversity’s clinical programs,developcontracts between the Center and clinical student programs,recruitand interviewclinicalstudents,providemental health subject-specifictrainingto trainees and staff, grant reporting, and other administrative dutiesrelated to mental health service provision and grant compliance. TheOn-CallClinical Supervisor ensures that clinical supervision and documentation arereviewed andcompleted within theCenter'sstandards and professionalguidelines andworks with universities to ensure compliancewith learning contracts anddocumentation. TheOn-CallClinical Supervisormay also carry a small client caseload,providingcrisis intervention and counseling services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Implement the Center’s student clinical training program, in collaboration withMental Health Program Team
Provide individual and group clinical supervision, communicate regularly with university practicum team and ensure compliance and affirming care
Provide crisis counseling and therapeutic services
