Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in organizing Peace by Piece events, workshops, and activities
Participate in workshops and help participants create knitted projects
Create punchcard designs for knitting workshops
Help create and distribute educational materials, social media content, and newsletters
Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of project outcomes
Maintain communication with student groups, campus departments, and community partners
Attend regular planning meetings and provide input on programming and outreach
Perform general administrative duties (e.g., scheduling, emailing, maintaining records)
Represent the Peace by Piece Project at campus and community events
Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the project’s values
Work Conditions:
Can lift up to 50 lbs
Can work a flatbed knitting machine and industrial sewing machine
Required Qualifications
Required EducationMust be enrolled as a student at Belmont University. Required ExperienceExperience with social media, graphic design, or event planning is a plus
Experience in knitting, sewing, handcrafts, and in particular, machine knitting
