Job Description

Omnichannel Marketing Manager

Turn patient insights into action and shape how millions of people discover the care they need. In a role where data meets creativity and compliance meets innovation, you’ll craft marketing strategies that truly make a difference in patients’ lives.

Your new role

As Omnichannel Marketing Manager, you’ll be the bridge between patient needs and marketing execution, transforming insights into strategies that drive patient activation and disease awareness across multiple channels. This is where analytical rigor meets creative thinking, within the framework of a highly regulated industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing consumer and patient insights to shape marketing strategies that enhance patient activation, gathering data on behaviours, perceptions, and reactions to inform decision-making
  • Developing and implementing advertising and promotional programmes that align with disease awareness objectives, including content strategy and HCP locator management
  • Coordinating the production of marketing materials across digital and traditional channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with core objectives
  • Fine-tuning website platforms based on performance insights to optimize user experience and engagement, implementing data-driven adjustments
  • Measuring the effectiveness of marketing plans and tactics, conducting regular reviews to refine strategies and improve patient activation outcomes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, medical affairs, and legal compliance to ensure seamless execution
  • Representing the Consumer Marketing function in cross-functional collaborations, leveraging insights from various stakeholders to optimize marketing impact

Your new department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world’s population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

The Omnichannel Marketing team in Japan thrives on turning constraints into opportunities. Your Director is objective-driven and excels at aligning individual ambitions with company goals, creating an environment where personal growth and business success go hand in hand. The team is known for thinking creatively - finding innovative solutions within the rules of our highly regulated industry. Here, you’ll work alongside colleagues who see regulatory boundaries not as limitations, but as frameworks for creative problem-solving.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for a marketing professional who combines analytical strength with creative vision and understands the nuances of healthcare marketing. You’ll bring with you:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer marketing, advertising, or related fields
  • Proven expertise in leveraging consumer and patient insights to drive activation and content development
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of marketing plans and promotional activities, with strong analytical capabilities
  • Familiarity with multi-channel advertising and promotional campaigns, including digital platforms and website optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions within regulatory constraints
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, medical affairs, and legal compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent marketing perspectives in diverse stakeholder groups
  • Native level of Japanese language skills, and business level of English language skills
