Job Description

Shape the future of digital customer engagement in healthcare. Lead the strategic development of omni-channel platforms that connect patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals with life-changing treatments across multiple therapy areas.

Your new role

As Omnichannel Customer Engagement (OCE) Lead, you'll drive the strategic development and optimization of our omni-channel customer engagement initiatives. You'll be at the intersection of digital innovation, customer experience, and commercial strategy – shaping how we engage with healthcare professionals and patients across our key therapy areas.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing digital customer engagement priorities across therapy areas, including end-to-end patient journey development – mapping journeys, identifying gaps, and delivering solutions
  • Defining the overarching OCE strategy with measurable KPIs, leading performance monitoring, data analysis, and visualization
  • Translating strategies into actionable execution concepts for digital channels, ensuring platform functionality aligns with business goals
  • Providing subject-matter expertise on OCE topics, continuously optimizing user experience and platform performance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, medical affairs, and commercial IT to ensure strategic cohesion
  • Building strong relationships with global and regional teams to share best practices and leverage resources

Your new department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world's population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

You'll be based in our Germany affiliate in Mainz, one of the largest and most strategic markets within International Operations, home to more than 500 employees. Here you'll be part of the Customer Engagement & Operations / Strategy team, where we're transforming how we connect with healthcare professionals, patients, and other key stakeholders in the digital age. Our focus is on creating seamless, personalized experiences across all touchpoints – ensuring that every interaction adds value and supports better patient outcomes. Your location will be in our Mainz office.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for digital innovation and customer engagement. You'll bring the experience and mindset to drive transformation in a complex, global healthcare environment.

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Digital, Innovation, Data, Business Administration, or comparable field
  • Several years of experience in digital project management, digital marketing, or managing digital platforms, ideally with experience in the pharmaceutical industry in comparable roles
  • Proficiency in content management systems (ideally AEM), analytics platforms, and digital communication tools; experience with digital training concepts is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across therapeutic areas and geographies
  • Strategic and analytical thinking combined with business acumen – you understand how digital initiatives drive commercial outcomes
  • Strong networking and presentation skills, with fluency in both English and German
  • A curious, pioneering spirit with experience in agile work methods and a comfort with ambiguity
