Why this role matters

As an O&M Civil Asset Management Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term integrity and performance of our offshore wind assets, including approximately 200 foundations and 250 km of subsea high-voltage cables.

Your work will directly contribute to the reliability, safety, and lifetime optimisation of key renewable infrastructure.

In this role you will

Together with the other Civil Asset Management Engineers and the Civil Site Supervisors you are responsible for a qualitative follow-up of all the wind farms, where you will have ownership of certain key assets and key techniques:

• Coordinate and supervise offshore maintenance campaigns in Belgium and abroad;

• Lead root cause analysis and resolve technical issues;

• Plan and execute unplanned maintenance, including vessel, crew, and material logistic;

• Develop preventive, corrective and adaptive maintenance strategies associated to maximize the lifetime of foundation and subsea cable assets;

• Support tender projects, actively participating in JNBP’s mission to expand services worldwide;

• Develop O&M strategy & improvement projects to ensure the durability of the assets, advising technical solutions towards your colleagues and creating links with the Electrical and Turbine O&M departments;

• Perform data driven analysis to monitor lifetime expectations of operational assets.

You will work both offshore and from our Ostend office, depending on operational needs and weather conditions. Occasional travel within Belgium and internationally.

Next to that JERA Nex bp has adopted a structural teleworking regime in which a high autonomy is offered as well as required. You will report to the O&M Civil Manager.

Requirements

To be successful in the role you will bring

• A strong passion for renewable energy and interest in offshore environments;

• A master’s degree in Civil, Elektro-mechanical, Marine, or related engineering discipline;

• We are open to both junior and experienced candidates, with responsibilities adapted to your level of experience;

• Fluent English (spoken and written); Dutch and/or German is a plus;

• A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong technical understanding;

• Good analytical skills and experience working with data;

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude;

• High awareness of safety and QHSSE standards;

• Ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
