In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.

To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:

Concrete Truck Operator

The Concrete Truck Operator is responsible for transporting, mixing, and delivering ready-mix concrete to job sites in a safe and timely manner. To ensure that the concrete is properly mixed and at the correct consistency for construction projects and effectively interact with construction teams to ensure smooth deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a concrete mixer truck to and from job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete.
• Inspect and maintain the truck, including checking fluid levels, tires, and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Mix and adjust concrete consistency in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all deliveries are made accurately, on time, and with proper documentation.
• Communicate with the Supervisor or project lead to coordinate deliveries and schedules.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Monitor concrete quality during transport and inform the supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Assist in loading and unloading concrete when necessary.
• Ensure that the truck is cleaned after every delivery and maintained in good working condition
  

Qualifications/Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License with Motor Lorry (ML) class
• At least 3-5 years
  
• A t least 1 year experience operating a Truck
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Ability to sit for long periods while driving and assist in loading/unloading materials.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions

• Position based at the OKO Project site. Fly-in/Fly-out.
• Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off
• Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.

Compensation Package

• 2-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
