Position Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00CLERGY Wellness Coordinator
The Oklahoma Conference of The United Methodist Church seeks a part-time Clergy Wellness Coordinator to serve within the Office of Clergy Excellence. This position supports clergy discipleship, health, and overall well-being through program development, retreats, education, and collaborative initiatives. The Clergy Wellness Coordinator reports to the Executive Director of Connectional Ministry and works approximately 20–25 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including occasional evening and weekend responsibilities for retreats, events, and meetings.
Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively with the Office of Connectional Ministries and Board of Ordained Ministry to promote holistic clergy health
- Collaborate with the Conference Benefits Officer on wellness related communication, promotions, and resources
- Collaborate with the Office of Connectional Ministries and the Cabinet regarding clergy cohorts for continued learning and development
- Contribute regularly to Clergy Excellence publications (e.g., blog posts, newsletters) promoting clergy health, wellness, and leadership excellence
- Compile, maintain, and distribute clergy health, wellness, and leadership resources
- Oversee the development, distribution, and follow-up of Clergy Well-Being, Renewal Leave, and wellness grants
- Provide guidance and serve as the Conference manager for Reflective Supervision
- Design and implement clergy health and wellness programs, resources, and initiatives
- Organize educational events, workshops, and wellness programming
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and relevant boards to enhance wellness efforts
- Track and evaluate the success of wellness programs and adjust strategies as needed
- Develop one-on-one or individualized wellness support plans when appropriate
- Attend wellness events and serve as an ambassador for clergy health initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to wellness programs and clergy support
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, wellness, recreation, physical education, or a related field OR relevant wellness-related certifications (e.g., personal training, nutrition, first aid/emergency care, holistic health, athletic instruction, corporate wellness)
- Counseling Degree, certification
- Minimum of three years of effective experience in a religious setting required
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and group facilitation skills
- Ability to plan and implement programs, events, and projects
- Comfortable working with diverse groups and in varied settings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of UMC organization, policies, and Conference priorities
- Ability to articulate principles of clergy wellness and health discipleship
- Alignment with the Christian faith and the mission of The United Methodist Church, with a strong commitment to discipleship, leadership and wellness
- Basic computer proficiency
- Willingness to travel and commitment to life-long learning
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential documents and information
