Job Title: Oil Processing Technician II
Department: Processing
Reports To Manufacturing Supervisor
FSLA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location: Hancock, MD
The Oil Processing Technician II will be part of the team responsible for weighing, measuring, and filling medical marijuana derivatives utilizing Thompson Duke, ATG, Versa, etc, in the appropriate container for resale at company dispensaries, while meeting tight production deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of the Oil Production Manager, the Oil Production Supervisor, and Team Leads, duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Signed off on training to operate the Thompson Duke, ETG, Versa, or any other filling equipment, and ensure fill rates are within quality specs
Perform change overs, basic trouble shooting, and basic PMs on equipment to ensure optimal operations
Replace dispensing needles in equipment at proper increments to produce optimally and prevent contamination
Ability to train Oil Processing Technician I role
Responsible for properly weighing, measuring, and filling various types of medical marijuana derivatives into the appropriate container accurately and efficiently
Perform and document necessary quality checks of incoming material, process, and finished goods
Document and escalate any equipment issues to maintenance and leadership
Label containers with the appropriate product labels and variable data label, any state mandated tags, tamper tape as necessary
Package, document, and ensure proper counts and tracking documentation of case packs
Maintain quality control measures to ensure high quality packaging of product
Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility within the packaging area per cGMP and Trulieve standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic computer skills
Exceptionally strong math and counting skills
Ability to focus, stay on task, and continuously demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work productively within a group environment
Mechanical and problem solving aptitude
Must be able to follow detailed instructions, written and verbal
Must be dependable with reliable transportation
Controls and instrumentation experience preferred
6 months in the Oil Processing Technician I role
Ensure timeliness of return from breaks
Work in a fast-paced controlled environment
Work with chemicals, oils, and sharp objects
1+ year in working with processing quality at Trulieve
Able to work under minimum supervision
Able to work under pressure
Able to manage changes in working schedule
Working in a cGMP manufacturing environment preferred
Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work in close proximity and with cannabis flower and particulates on a daily basis
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate, at workstations for extended periods of time
Maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
Must be able to handle organic matter daily and able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
Must have visual acuity with/without aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details
Must be able to speak and communicate at conversational proficiency with co-workers, vendors, etc.
Working in an environment with equipment that produces continuous low-level sound (Moderate noise)
WORK SCHEDULE
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
