Our current presence in Poland:
Our Baltic Power offshore wind farm (“BLP”) is the most advanced offshore wind project in Poland and the first to have reached the construction phase. In 2023, the project received a final investment decision (FID) as well as financing from 25 international institutions. Both onshore and offshore installations are underway at the moment. BLP will be among the world’s first projects to install 15 MW wind turbines and the first Polish offshore wind farm operating in the Baltic Sea. The BLP wind farm will be able to cover 3% of the national electricity demand, which stands for the energy needs of over 1,5 million households in Poland.

The Role:
The Offtake Manager will support the BLP O&M organization in all commercial aspects of the successful preparation and implementation of the O&M package of the BLP project. The Offtake Manager within the BLP O&M organization will ensure that all offtake related activities are properly managed throughout the Project lifecycle.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Contract & Governance Management

  • Act as the commercial contract owner for the PPA within the O&M phase
  • Manage all BLP governance, systems and internal processes related to PPA implementation and ongoing contract administration
  • Monitor Polish laws and regulatory developments that may impact the PPA or revenue structure
  • Ensure contractual compliance by both BLP and the offtaker
  • Manage change requests, contractual notices and formal communications
  • Co-ordinate contractual setup and ensure operational readiness prior to COD

Revenue Assurance & Settlement

  • Oversee metering, data validation, settlement calculations and invoicing accuracy
  • Reconcile forecasted vs. actual production volumes and associated financial outcomes
  • Provide commercial calculations supporting claims, guarantees or adjustments under the PPA
  • Lead settlement discussions and dispute resolution with the offtaker where required
  • Support audits of revenue, settlement and power market data
  • Ensure bonus/malus, availability, imbalance and performance-based mechanisms are correctly calculated and settled

Performance & Interface Management

  • Manage the operational and commercial interface with the offtaker
  • Monitor offtaker performance against contractual KPIs and obligations
  • Manage forecasting coordination process (available MW, nominations, updates) and ensure timely communication to the offtaker
  • Align internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Legal, Market Operations) to ensure an effective end-to-end process from forecasting through settlement and payment
  • Identify and escalate commercial risks impacting revenue or compliance

Value Protection & Optimization

  • Where necessary, challenge the offtaker to ensure optimal value realization under the PPA
  • Monitor imbalance exposure and market-related impacts affecting contract performance
  • Ensure relevant procedures, processes and internal controls remain robust and up to date
  • Support internal reporting to management on PPA performance and revenue realization

Experience & Education:

  • Relevant degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • Relevant experience in managing a PPA agreement in another large windfarm or other independent power production unit.
  • Relevant experience in working across several areas (Operations, Finance, Legal and Consent/PPA team.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.
