W3.CSS We are looking for an Offshore Technical Assurance Specialist (Production Operations) to join BW Offshore's Operational Governance team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced production operations professional to work across our global fleet, providing independent insight into the effectiveness of operating practices, critical controls and production systems. The role combines offshore exposure, engagement with senior leadership, and the opportunity to help shape a modern, risk-based assurance function focused on operational excellence, learning and continuous improvement.The position is part of the Operations Function and reports to the Asset Assurance Manager within BW Offshore's Operational Governance organisation.BW Offshore leverages more than four decades of experience in operating advanced offshore production systems and executing complex projects. We are proud to have executed 40 FPSO and FSO projects, and have cultivated a culture of thorough engineering, trust and teamwork throughout the organisation. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Deliver Production Operations assurance activities across BW Offshore's global fleet under the Technical Assurance ProgramConduct offshore assurance visits, testing Work as Imagined against Work as PerformedProvide independent insight on the effectiveness of production operations, operating discipline and critical operational controlsVerify workforce competence assessment processes and promote consistent assurance standardsIdentify weak signals, emerging operational risks and opportunities to improve production performance and reliabilityInfluence leaders and frontline teams through coaching, challenge and constructive engagementDrive closure of assurance findings and support risk escalation where requiredShape the future of assurance through continuous improvement and innovative assurance approaches

Qualifications: Degree, recognised trade certificate or professional qualification in Process, Production, Operations, Marine Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 10 years' experience in offshore oil and gas or another high-hazard industry, with significant production operations experienceExperience in assurance, verification, auditing, operational readiness, production management or performance improvement

Skills: Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to build trust, challenge constructively and maintain independent judgementStrong understanding of production operations, process safety and risk management principlesFluent in written and spoken English
