Status: Rotational offshore, 5 weeks on/ 5 weeks off

Languages: Fluent English required (spoken and written)

French appreciated.

MISSIONS/SERVICE DIMENSIONS

The NDT Supervisor is responsible, within the supervision of the GranMorgu Project team and under the RSES-D / Company Representative, for following-up, monitoring and supervising NDT activities carried out by Contractor and Subcontractor onboard the vessel, ensuring that NDT technical requirements are duly applied by Contractor and Subcontractor(s).

ACTIVITIES

Together with the Company Offshore representative (RSES-D), the service holder will be the focal point for all welding activities within the project team.

During the installation phase, the service holder shall support the CPY site team to:

  • Review the relevant CONTRACTOR or SUPPLIER Documentation (Procedures, ITP…) In coordination with
  • other disciplines.
  • Monitor and control the implementation of the approved procedures, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans, AUT acceptance criteria.
  • Daily Production Report, including comprehensive details of all indications identified by AUT.
  • Perform an independent assessment of the subcontractor's interpretations and challenge any
  • discrepancies identified.
  • Ensure proper monitoring of all manual NDT inspections conducted.
  • Review and ensure that all material certificates and calibration equipment certification files are up to date, including documentation from vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure that the works are closely inspected by the contractor’s QC inspection team.
  • Challenge Contractor and Sub-suppliers on QA/QC performance and Inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard.
  • Stop & report immediately to Company Offshore representative (RSES-D) any anomaly or non-conformity.
  • Attend and participate in daily meetings.
  • The service holder reports to the Company Offshore representative (RSES-D) and is responsible for supporting him/her for the report to the Project Manager.
  • The service holder supports if need Company Offshore representative (RSES-D) for the coordination and shall inform and motivate them adequately so that priorities are clear and directions for the performance of their duties are set to meet the objectives of the Project.
  • The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating exemplary behavior with regard to H3SE rules & requirements and for ensuring that H3SE requirements are duly implemented within his area of responsibility.

  • Seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs without impairing HSEQ objectives.

CONTEXT & ENVIRONNENT

The activity takes place in the context of the execution phase of a major project in Suriname. The Suriname GranMorgu is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the project managed by TotalEnergies on the Deep and Shallow Water discoveries of offshore Suriname Block 58.

The technical challenges the Project will face are the reservoir development and management, FPSO, and subsea production/injection system.

The Suriname Team will develop the Project with the objectives of maximizing economic results by optimizing the reserves, and the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
  • Professional Experience (years): 10 – 15 years
  • Experience in similar position (years): more than 5 years of experience with supervision of deepwater offshore
  • operations in relation with SURF activities.
  • Participation in a recent deep-water project, including offshore operations.
  • Good communication skills, organizational skills and positive attitude.

Mandatory:

  • Certification: ISO 9712 UT level 3 with strong experience in AUT including TOFD. Ideally experienced with PipeWizard Software
  • Strong AUT interpreter experience on board pipelays vessel or spool base.
  • Shall successfully pass the AUT Interpreter qualification training for the SONUS system (SAIPEM).
  • Strong HSE culture
