Job Description

The Offshore Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for materials, tools, and equipment located on offshore facilities and supply vessels. This role performs routine cycle counts, reconciles discrepancies, and ensures inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records while supporting offshore operations and supply chain teams.

*This is a project based position. Current timeline to finish scope is 8-12 months. Role does have the potential to be extended to more platforms in the GOA which will increase the scope time

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Perform daily and weekly cycle counts of warehouse and offshore inventory.

    • Verify physical inventory against system records (ERP or inventory management systems).

    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages

    • Maintain accurate material locations, bin assignments, and stock levels

    • Coordinate with onshore supply chain teams, logistics personnel, and procurement to correct inventory issues.

    • Ensure critical offshore materials and spare parts are properly tracked and available.

    • Maintain documentation for inventory adjustments, transfers, and returns

    • Assist with receiving, issuing, and staging materials for offshore operations when required.

    • Support inventory audits and compliance checks

    • Follow all offshore safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • 2+ years of inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experience (offshore or industrial preferred).

    • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar inventory platforms.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies quickly.

    • Basic knowledge of material handling and warehouse processes

  • Preferred Experience

    • Offshore oil & gas or marine logistics experience.

    • Familiarity with cycle counting methodologies and inventory control best practices

    • Experience working with critical spare parts and maintenance materials

  • Work Environment

    • Offshore rotational schedule ( 14/14).

    • Work performed on offshore platforms, warehouses, and supply vessels

    • Must be able to work in physically demanding environments and follow offshore safety requirements

  • Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders common on offshore facilities.

    • Ability to work in industrial environments and varying weather conditions
