Job Description

Fleet Performance Offshore Engineer
Offshore Wind | Remote | Permanent

You help keep Haliade-X wind turbines operating safely, reliably, and at high performance. In this offshore-focused role, you work closely with Site Operations, Technical Support, and Design Engineering teams to resolve technical issues, improve product availability, and support the safe delivery of maintenance and operational activities.

Reporting to the Head of Technical Support, you act as a key technical point of contact for issues affecting turbine reliability. You use a practical, solution-oriented approach to investigate problems, coordinate support, and guide issues through to standardised technical solutions. You work across site feedback, technical investigations, and cross-functional collaboration to help turn complex challenges into efficient, effective outcomes.

This role is predominantly offshore, working on a two-week rotation with a back-to-back Fleet Performance Engineer. It also includes international travel and onshore support as needed to meet business needs.

What you’ll do

  • You support Site Operations teams to deliver safe maintenance activities, high-quality execution, and on-schedule work.
  • You help resolve technical issues that affect the reliable operation of Haliade-X wind turbines.
  • You act as the escalation point for technical issues and nonconformities that need additional support.
  • You gather, structure, and communicate detailed information from site to support initial and ongoing investigations.
  • You support the technical handover from installation and commissioning into service, helping ensure a smooth transition.
  • You contribute to the review and validation of Safe System of Work documentation, including Lock Out Tag Out processes, and maintenance work instructions.
  • You help capture, retain, and share technical lessons learned to improve product availability and support continuous improvement.
  • You support the development and improvement of standard operating procedures within your area of influence.
  • You monitor production-based availability and safety-related technical concerns, helping teams prioritise the right actions.
  • You use structured problem-solving methods, including Problem-Solving Reports and DMAIC, to support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • You champion lean thinking and help embed GE Leadership Behaviours: act with humility, lead with transparency, and deliver with focus.

What you’ll bring

  • A solution-oriented mindset and a strong focus on getting results.
  • The ability to identify technical issues from different forms of feedback and guide them through to resolution.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the confidence to build trust and work effectively across teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, structure, and organisation.
  • A proactive approach to wind turbine technical challenges and the ability to take initiative.
  • A strong safety mindset and the ability to support safe systems of work.
  • The ability to influence others positively and build strong working relationships.
  • A collaborative, project-oriented way of working, with an understanding that good outcomes come from teamwork.
  • Experience in technical support, operations, engineering, maintenance, or field service in a wind or similarly complex technical environment.

It would be an advantage if you also have

  • Experience supporting offshore operations or large rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with technical issue escalation, nonconformity management, or continuous improvement processes.
  • Experience using structured problem-solving methods such as DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of safe working documentation, maintenance instructions, or operational procedures.
  • Experience working across site operations, technical support, and engineering teams.

Why this role matters

Your work helps protect the reliable operation of critical offshore wind turbines. By resolving technical issues, improving processes, and capturing lessons learned, you help improve availability, strengthen safety, and support the long-term performance of the fleet.

What you can expect

You join a highly collaborative technical environment where your contribution has a direct impact on turbine reliability and operational performance. The role is predominantly offshore on a two-week rotation, with international travel and onshore support as required to meet business needs.
