Edgebanding Offloader

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Edgebanding Offloader to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials between saw operations and edgebanding equipment while maintaining proper product sequencing and timely delivery to internal customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced production environment and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stage parts from saw operations to designated edgebanders in the correct sequence.
  • Ensure a continuous flow of materials to keep edgebanders operating efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Clear finished products from the edgebanding line and deliver them to the appropriate customer or production area in the correct sequence.
  • Complete daily scheduled work within established production timelines.
  • Follow all work center procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
  • Support team productivity and contribute to overall operational goals.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the position on a daily basis.
  • Ability to distinguish between different wood species.
  • Ability to identify and differentiate laminate paper colors.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools, including measuring tapes and calipers in metric dimensions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet hourly and daily production goals.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Forklift operation experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials in a manufacturing environment.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and manual handling of products.
  • Work in a factory setting where the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators, may be required.
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions, including machinery, noise, and production equipment.
