Job Description

Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the team head in origination, structuring and execution of financing transactions for corporate customers, including listed property developers, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and non-bank financial institutions.

  • Partner with the Relationship Managers in business development in line with the bank’s strategy.

  • Perform comprehensive company research, credit risk analysis, prepare credit proposals and recommend approved credit packages for customers.

  • Assist the team head in administrative matters, including portfolio review, monthly reports and regular returns.

  • Adhere to prevailing risk and compliance requirements, bank policies and procedures, and applicable local and regional regulations, follow through initiatives with attention to detail to achieve set targets and standards.

  • Comply with anti-money laundering / counter terrorist financing requirement and sanction risks controls in accordance with regulatory standards and CNCBI policies.

Requirements:

1. Education Qualification

  • Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines.


2. Working Experiences

  • 1-2 years’ experience related to corporate banking and gained from international banking environment is preferred.
  • Formal credit analysis training will be an advantage.

3. Professional Qualification / HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework Qualification / Professional Examination / License

  • N/A

4. Business Knowledge

  • Understand HK and PRC market conditions relating to corporate banking
  • Understand the Bank’s policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices, standards and applicable local and regional regulations to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
