The Department of Ocean Science is recruiting a high caliber candidate to fill the Officer position. The appointee will be responsible for providing professional administrative support to the daily operation and full aspects of program administration of the taught postgraduate programs in the Department. Duties include supporting the student recruitment and admissions process, providing general support to students, coordination of student enrichment and alumni activities, preparation of marketing collaterals, planning and execution of promotional campaigns, supporting the daily office administration and performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of full-time post-qualification working experience. Experience in program administration and in the tertiary education sector is preferred. The ideal candidate should be a good team player with the ability to work independently and in procession of good interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong sense of responsibility and a detailed mindset. The appointee should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
