Job Description

Software Specifications and IT Requirements

  • Carry out checks and reviews of information gathered from various parties in the SRS documents for different projects.

Quality Assurance Testing

  • Conduct functional software testing of applications to ensure that the processes captured are in line with user requirements agreed in the SRS.
  • Report the issues identified through the bug tracker system and provide the change request to the software development team.
  • Ensure that all issues reported by are fixed by the software development team prior to UAT phase.
  • Test, track and verify functionality defects in software program.
  • Carry out quality assurance testing of enhancements of the change request of IT applications and infrastructure.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Carry out customer satisfaction surveys with end users to ensure that all applications delivered are in line with the customer requirements

Change Management

  • As Change Advisory Board member recommend and authorise development of requested changes, upgrades or enhancements onto existing systems and applications in due consultation with different stakeholders to ensure GCAA’s IT applications are current and user friendly.
  • Evaluate proposed software or software enhancement for feasibility.
  • Effectively manage the process of identifying and incorporating any changes, upgrades or enhancements onto existing systems and applications in due consultation with different stakeholders to ensure GCAA’s IT applications are current and user friendly.

User Manuals

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of user manuals to ensure that all the required information is captured for external and internal users.

Systems Launch and Support

  • Conduct presentations and training for internal users at the time of launching new applications.

System Performance Analysis and Monitoring

  • Perform data analyses, identify improvement opportunities for system by identifying barriers and root causes of issues and service with view to enhancing system performance.
  • Monitor the enhancements on the systems post implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
  • Identify and recommend procedures and workflow improvements
  • Help keep the GCAA service catalogue (technical and business) up to date and aligned with service portfolio and GCAA strategy.

Quality / Excellence Models and Standards

  • Ensure that all internal IT standards are in line with local and international quality and excellence standards.
  • Research best practices to impact quality improvement initiatives and utilisation standards.
  • Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organisations.
  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance of quality management process.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all functional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet GCAA requirements and quality standards.

Health, Safety and Environment within GCAA

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude as per IMS available standards

Other Tasks/ Accountability

  • Perform additional tasks relevant to the role / area of expertise as requested by the management to be able to achieve the objectives/commitments.
