What are we looking for?

This role supports investment and treasury operations to ensure efficient execution, monitoring, and reporting of investment activities while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

What are we expecting from this role?

• Support investment manager in drafting investment proposals.

• Assist in investment execution, cash movement, cash flow reports preparation and cash flow projections for Myanmar.

• Build and maintain relationships with banks and investment counterparties.

• Handle information gathering from bank counterparties and work with PMLI compliance team in performing sanctions screening and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) due diligence.

• Assist in monitoring and reconciling repayments collected from investing counterparties.

• Calculate investment portfolio performance measures for PMLI such as yield, duration, portfolio concentration, credit limit utilization, etc.

• Support in preparing investment performance reports to PMLI Investment Committee (IC) through quarterly IC meeting or ad-hoc basis (if needed).

• Support in credit rating review of all counterparties annually and monitoring financial covenants of counterparts quarterly for PMLI.

• Assist in performing annual risk and compliance exercises for PMLI.

• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fixed deposit placement and government bond subscription, financial due diligence or in similar fields, preferably in Insurance, Investment Banking or International Accounting firms.

• Bachelor's degree in banking and finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required.

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Understand bank deposit and bond investments that could support execution within the due course.

• Capability in thinking critically and identifying appropriate solutions.

• Ability to do data crunching to make financial data suitable for analysis.

• Demonstrate competency in interpreting financial statements, analyzing business models, and assessing market competitiveness of target companies.

• Knowledge of capital markets and economic trends in Myanmar.

• Understand specific calculations for valuation, modeling, and forecasting such as discounted cash flow model, portfolio construction model, pricing, Sharpe ratio, etc.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.

• Advanced Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills.
