About the team:
Join a fast-paced, customer-focused operations team supporting the ASX’s settlement systems for fixed income products including Austraclear and ASX collateral. This role provides exposure to the day-to-day operation of the Austraclear, delivering settlement, depository, and registry services for AUD debt products within the Australian Financial markets.
You will support business continuity and risk management activities, providing operational support to participants, and deliver high-quality customer service to clients globally while maintaining strong regulatory standards. As a key contributor, you will also participate in projects to operationalise new products, systems, or changes that have a direct impact on customers.

What you will be doing:

Understand and operate the ASX’s settlement system for Fixed Income products Austraclear and ASX Collateral
Engage and deliver services to a diverse range of stakeholders inclusive of banks, major corporations, custodians, fund managers, local governments, system vendors, compliance officers and regulators.
Be the contact point to resolve and respond to issues and queries raised by internal and external customers
Support customer readiness of new products and client onboarding
Identify and implement process improvement to reduce operational risk, and meet internal and external audit requirements
Assist in the operationalisation of new products and services or technology upgrades
Deliver prompt and efficient notifications regarding changes and outages affecting critical operating systems.
Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for Fixed Income operations
What you will bring:
Must have
Previous experience in a Fixed Income operations and/or settlement related role in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong analytical experience involving the investigation of issues and problems, identifying and documenting their solutions
Experience in a customer facing role offering exceptional service
Extensive knowledge of the Australian Financial Markets and related products
Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative and take ownership of outcomes
Strong attention to detail
A go-getter mindset – curious, proactive and resourceful in solving problems.
Inquisitive mindset to ensure full understanding
Excellent customer service skills
Confident in making decisions and knowing when to seek guidance
Effective oral, written, and presentation communication

Nice to have:
Awareness of ASX clearing and settlement frameworks, including associated risk, control, and compliance processes.
Demonstrated ability with Excel, VBA, or similar tools to support analysis, process improvement, as well as wider automation of operational processes.
