We are looking for an ''Officer – Fabric Purchasing'' for our company in Istanbul, Turkiye.
Key Qualifications
Knit fabric purchasing, fabric analysis, fabric costing and yarn costing
Plan and manage bulk knit fabric production with suppliers in line with order quantities and quality standards
Responsible for streamlining and improving knit fabric production processes with suppliers
Trend forecasting and preparation/presentation of seasonal knit fabric collections
Liaise closely with internal designers, merchandisers, overseas clients, and suppliers
Provide technical support and sourcing for knit fabrics (GSM, hand feel, stretch, shrinkage, pilling, color fastness, etc.)
Follow up on the development of new knit fabrics from sourcing to approval
Generate fabric cards once fabrics are selected and maintain all relevant information throughout sample and stock approval stages
Collect and document stock pricing, lead time, minimum order quantities, and surcharge details for each fabric card
Negotiate prices and delivery timelines with suppliers for both samples and bulk production
Send color standards to vendors, track lab dip submissions for custom-dyed knit fabrics, and follow up with the design team on approval comments
Requirements
Degree or Above in Textile or related disciplines
Minimum 4 years' relevant experience
Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills
Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
Strong problem-solving skills
